Baker & Black is a modern fine jewelry house based in Brooklyn New York. Many of the pieces have a vintage feeling of bespoke craftsmanship. I wanted to replicate that aspect in the logo lock-up, with a bold yet elegant type form featuring a handcrafted take on the classic Times New Roman font. The backgrounds and design elements are simple color gradations that both display and interact with the logotype and denote the glimmer and shine of the jewelry.
